RES-Hospitals Presented at 2014 Hope Congress

The 2014 HOPE Congress consisted of 2-days, pan-European, multidisciplinary conferences and exhibitions dedicated to examining the most pertinent topics and key challenges within efficient facilities management.


The free-to-attend meetings covered the following areas: Hospital Management & Facilities Management, Cardiology, Radiology, Surgery & Theatre, Laboratory.


The Facilities Management stream was dedicated to examining the key challenges facing the health structures called to perform changing roles in the society, which requires an innovative approach to their management.

 

A special key note from Ron van der WEERD, Chairman of the European Facilities Management Network and the 2- day conference included presentations from:
• Prof. Arch. Simona Ganassi Agger, RES-Hospitals Project Manager- Zero Carbon objective for
Hospitals with RES
• Prof. Barrie Dowdeswell, Director of Research of ECHAA, European Centre for Health Assets
and Architecture: European comparisons
• Dr. Anja Leetz, Director of HCWH, Health Care Without Harm – Europe – Strategies for energy
and waste reduction
• Professor Michael Möllmann, St. Franziskus Hospital – design for maximize the use of human
resources and facility functionality

HOPE Congress is one of the most significant annual events for the healthcare sector, the inclusion of the “RES-Hospitals” project in the programme was an indicator of the interest stimulated by the issues examined and its results summarized in its “Guide for European Hospitals”.
